BIOGRAPHY
IAN DAVIS RGN.BTAA.BTER.Cert.Health.Ed.ITEC
My involvement with healthcare began when I qualified
as a General Nurse in 1989. Having worked in the NHS for over 10
years I have seen healthcare from both sides. My NHS experience
involved working in the field of Cardiac and Respiratory Transplant
Rehabilitation. My involvement in Exercise testing, lead me to become
qualified as a fitness instructor which I used both within the hospital
setting and as a private fitness trainer.
My interest in complimentary therapies followed.
I trained as a Masseur during my free time from the hospital and
this was the start of things to come. Following a number of years
working privately and in the NHS I came across the Bowen technique
in the USA. It was something that I felt drawn to immediately because
of its gentle application and the benefits that could be derived
from it. The technique was so different and yet could be so profoundly
beneficial for many. My training in the UK was with the Bowen Association
UK, which I undertook very soon after returning from holiday. Other
therapies I have qualifications in are Reiki and Indonesian Massage.
I belong to both the European
Register of Bowen Therapists and also the Bowen
Association UK. Alongside this I am also a member of the Guild
of Professional Beauty Therapists through which I hold full
insurance. As a member of the named organizations I also am required
to have regular first aid training.
I have a great interest in sport, health and fitness
and complimentary therapies. My aim is to build on my current knowledge
and provide an ever-improving service for my clients.
